whooo!!!   hooray for san francisco!  i whisked in and whisked out in a 48 hour period- definitely not enough time to do all the things I wanted to do, but i did manage to eat myself sick 3 meals a day.  there are too many vegan options in san francisco now plus i had to visit some of my old faves.  let’s see.. pizza, donuts, cheese steak..  and i think that was just for lunch.

AAAND, the big reason i flew up was to meet up with Laura and Tom!   they’re getting married in November at the Del.  oooh, so much fun!  i had SUCH a great time hanging out and getting to know them.  they’re super funny, laugh alot and were down for anything. we spent hours running all over the city and hit tons of cool spots.  the sun and fog played some tricks on us while we were out, but it made for a very san francisco adventure.

hooray for fun couples! i met up with wendy and jonathan at the presidio and scampered around the lovely grounds. i love that place. trees, leaves, architecture.. it has it all. it was gorgeous late afternoon and i was super happy to spend it with this awesome couple. their wedding date is coming up next weekend already!

i’ll be seeing you two again very soon- can’t wait!!

how much do i love these two? a whole lot! we went to balboa park and ran (and jumped) around for awhile. then afterwards we went hit a fave ethiopian restaurant. not only are bonnie and joe sweet and adorable, but the IQ between the two of them is in the billion-range. between messy bites of lentils we talked about everything from school to brain mapping to corn-run engines.

bonnie and joe, i had an awesome time and in addition to taking some cool shots i’m so happy i got a chance to hang out with you!.

i can’t wait for their wedding which will be at the super cute Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa on.. you guessed it, Sept 13th!

finally, photos from guatemala! i had the opportunity to fly down last week to 2nd shoot a wedding with christa. it was so much fun! i LOVE guatemala. i had been there a few years ago traveling and taking spanish, but it was so cool going back with photography as the primary purpose. everything looked different with a camera in hand and i was drooling over all of the narrow streets and bright colors wishing i’d had a couple to shoot. fortunate for me, i had one! kevin, christa’s husband also came down to hang and help out. turns out that they’ve been together TEN YEARS already and have very few photos of themselves. i was more than happy to oblige!

this is one of my faves. christa is confessing her sins to kevin in the confessional. he was pretty psyched.

i couldn’t have asked for better models! christa said she wasn’t good in front of the camera (what photographer is?) but after a few minutes, the model in her came out. i’m also super happy they finally have a few photos of themselves, and what a cool place to have them done! so, if any of you ever want an e-shoot in guatemala, you just let me know. i’m there!
